锌是人体内必需的重要微量元素之一,它在人体中的总含量为2~3克。正常人每日锌的需要量是6个月以下3mg,7~12个月5mg,1~10岁10mg,成人15mg,妊娠者每日20mg。微量元素锌对小儿的生长发育、免疫防卫以及某些疾病的发生发展都有很大的影响。2岁以下小儿缺锌患病率较高(约28.5%),在营养不良的小儿中缺锌率达74.68%。锌主要是通过大小便和汗液排出,故多汗者也可造成锌的流失。
