Objective: To evaluate the role of the measles / rubella laboratory network in Hebei Province during 2004-2007 in accelerating the control of measles and rubella. Methods: The results and data of measles / rubella network in Hebei Province from 2004 to 2007 were summarized and analyzed. Results: From 2004 to 2007, a total of 21328 measles cases were detected in Hebei measles monitoring system. 17552 suspected cases of measles were detected in laboratory. The diagnostic rate was 81.52% (17386/21328) in laboratory and the positive rate of measles IgM antibody was 60.04 %, Detection of rubella IgM antibody 6475 serum rubella IgM antibody positive rate was 17.13%; diagnosis of rubella outbreak in 43 cases, the outbreak of rubella IgM antibody positive rate was 67.07%; provincial municipal blind blind serum test results in line with the rate Was 98.37%. The coincidence rate of the sample review was 93.11%. The coincidence rate of the national laboratory on blind sample assessment and specimen review at the provincial level laboratory was 100% correct every year. 64 cases of measles virus were isolated and the genotype of measles virus changed From H1c to H1a and H1b, and then to H1a transformation, the isolated measles virus is distributed in 11 regions in our province; one strain of rubella virus is isolated. CONCLUSIONS: The Measles / Rubella Laboratory Network in Hebei Province has provided a large amount of scientific data in time for the measles surveillance system, playing an important role in accelerating the control and elimination of measles and rubella.
