1997年春夏之交,胡正堂率领雨龙公路管理所职工在离所8公里的山上安营扎寨,采备砂石材料,一鼓作气连续工作了47天,终于备足了养护公路所需砂石材料。5月9日傍晚,胡正堂和大伙一起骑着自行车收工回所,途中,发现位于晋(宁)云(县)公路22公里加500米处的大龙树涵洞,因李方村水库泄出的洪水一路冲刷,带下的泥沙、树枝和杂物把迎水口堵死,大水从公路上浸过,而这段路的责任人已离开该所。胡正堂看在眼里,急在心头,随即停下单车查看了灾情,让疲惫的同事们先回所休息。当晚,胡正堂担心大水冲毁路基,一夜翻来覆去睡不着觉,几次爬起来打着电筒去查看。 At the turn of spring and summer of 1997, Hu Zhengtang led Yu Long Highway Management Office to camp in the hills eight kilometers off the site. With sand and gravel materials, he worked for 47 consecutive days and finally got enough sand and gravel materials for highway maintenance. On the evening of May 9, Hu Zhengtang rode his bicycle back to his home with everyone. On the way, he found the Dalongshu culvert located 22 kilometers from the Yunnian (county) highway and 500 meters away from the Lifangcun reservoir. That night, Hu Zhengtang worried about the flood washed up the roadbed, turn around overnight to sleep, climbed up a few times to flashlight to see.
