第二届全国地震工程学术会议于1987年11月9～14日在湖北省武汉市召开。这是继1984年在上海召开的第一届全国地震工程学术会议之后,由中国地震学会地震工程专业委员会和中国建筑学会地震工程学术委员会联合召开的规模较大的一次地震工程学术会议。参加这次会议的有来自全国28个省、自治区和直辖市及国务院有关部门的科研、设计,高等院校和从事地震、抗震防灾工作的管理部门以及学术团体共92个单位235名代表。
The 2nd National Seismological Engineering Conference was held on November 9th to 14th, 1987 in Wuhan, Hubei Province. This is the largest scale earthquake engineering conference jointly held by the Earthquake Engineering Professional Committee of the China Earthquake Institute and the Earthquake Engineering Academic Committee of the Chinese Architectural Society, following the first national earthquake engineering conference held in Shanghai in 1984. Participated in the conference were 235 delegates from 92 institutions including scientific research and design from 28 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government, and relevant departments of the State Council, institutions of higher learning, and administrations and academic organizations engaged in earthquake, earthquake and disaster prevention work.
