探究式学习指在教师的指导下,学生为获得科学知识,以类似或模拟科学探究程序所进行的学习方式.探究式学习的倡导者是美国芝加哥大学施瓦布教授.他认为探究式过程和方法适合在教学中培养学生的“创造力”.他还指出,教师的新技术和习惯,不是命令学生学习,而是教授学习的方法,培养学生自我汲取知识的能力.物理教学中,学生不但要学到知识,更要得到能力的提高,因此教师不应是传统的授业、解惑,而应该有目的、有计划地培养其学习方法,培养自我汲取知识的能力.这种方法与能力的获得,其主要渠道就是在“探究学习”的教学之中.
