Three years later, in May 1983, this book was published and distributed. All along, the “history of Western art” is considered as a classic art popular reading, but also an important milestone in the study of the history of Chinese Western art. Its impact is far-reaching. First, the number of printed works up to 300,000 has so far been revealed.
