Small intestine (including the duodenum) mucosal layer has a lot of histamine enzyme. It is speculated that plasma histamine enzyme from the small intestine. The rat experiments show that any damage to the intestinal mucosa will cause plasmahistaminase levels decreased. The reason why the authors have measured plasma histamine enzyme in patients with duodenal ulcer is that this change in the level of this enzyme is a useful test indicator for the diagnosis of ulcers and the extent of their disease. Materials and Methods: The patient was duodenal ulcer confirmed by endoscopy. Carefully determine the location and size of the ulcer, and record changes in enzyme activity and degree of ulcer healing. The histamine activity is calculated based on the amount of ammonia released during histamine oxidation. The amount of ammonia released was determined by Bertholet reaction using histamine dihydrochloride as a substrate. Take 0.2M phosphate buffer (pH7.4) 0.3ml, with 1mM two
