情态性因其意义的复杂,对情态性的研究可谓仁者见仁,智者见智。在古希腊亚里士多德对判断的三种分类基础上,形式逻辑学、语言学对情态性的本质及其意义类型皆有各自的界定。以往对情态性的研究主要集中在表达手段的类别上,而对情态性的语篇建构功能研究较少。情态性作为功能语义范畴,是实现语篇形式和意义统一的手段,对语篇的建构功能主要体现在形成语篇基调、标示言语类型的转换以及影响语篇的结构布局。
Because of the complex nature of the modality, the study of modality can be described as benevolent and benevolent, wise men see the wisdom. On the basis of the three categories of judgment by Aristotle in ancient Greece, formal logic and linguistics have their own definition of the nature of modality and its significance. In the past, the research on modality mainly focused on the categories of means of expression, while less on the modality construction of modality.
