一、森林资源法国位于北纬43°与51°之间,国土面积为5,470万公顷。森林面积1,512万公顷(1983年),占国土面积的27%。人均占有林地0.28公顷。森林主要分布在与联邦德国、瑞士、西班牙相邻的山脉以及卢瓦尔河、加龙河上游的山地。森林面积的三分之二为阔叶林。其中一半为橡树,此外还有较多的山毛榉和栗树。针叶林的30%为法国海岸松,其次是枞树等。森林蓄积约16亿立方米,每公顷110立方米左右。其年生长量约5,300万立方米,每公顷4立方米左右。
