星洲红鱼是鲈形目、鲡鱼科、罗非鱼属中种间杂交的一个品种,原产地新加坡。体色粉红,没有黑斑或极少黑斑,体形与奥尼罗非鱼相似,个体大,头小,背高,体宽,肉厚,腹膜洁白。星洲红鱼食性为杂食性,耐低温能力强,其肉质细嫩、味道鲜美,深受消费者欢迎。引进养殖试验2年来,证明该鱼肉质好,养殖优势明显。为了进一步验证该鱼适应性强,生长快,抗病力强,易养殖等优点,2006年笔者进行了星洲红鱼和奥尼罗非鱼养殖对比试验,通过试验比较两种鱼的生长速度、成活率、饵料系数、产量、效益和营养成份,为星洲红鱼的推广养殖提供科学依据。
