《论语·公冶长·颜渊季路侍》:“颜渊日:‘愿无伐善,无施劳。’”中师(《文选和写作》将“无施劳”释为“不把劳苦的工作加在别人身上”。按这一解释,“施”当为“加”义,施加。此说可能本于王力,见王力《古代汉语》166页。粗看似无不可,但细思顿觉上下不连贯。查((简明古汉语词典》(云南人民出版社)“施(shi)”义项⑨:“〔动〕夸张。例:无伐善,无施劳(《论语》)。”《辞海》“施”下辞条“施劳”:“夸张自己的功劳。《论语·公冶长》:‘颜渊曰:“愿无伐善,无施劳。”‘朱熹注:“施,亦张大之意,劳,谓有功。《易》曰:“劳而不伐”,是也。’”可见此处“伐”与“施”系同义互
