By means of an orderly seismic reflection interpretation method, the sedimentary environment can be concluded based on seismic data. The key to this method is to understand the influence of lithology and formation spacing on the reflection parameters. More useful seismic parameters are amplitude, frequency and continuity. The reflected amplitude includes the velocity and density differences at a particular interface and the level of interaction stratified into information. The frequency is primarily a characteristic of the shape of the seismic pulse propagating downward, but it is also related to geological factors such as lateral variations in reflector spacing or layer velocity.
