Liansha Island in Whistling Dune Bay is a place where you’ll get totally relaxed and refreshed by the Buddhist culture. The Lotus Hotel on Liansha Island is the only one of its kind in the world which is not built of bricks， tiles， sand， stones， cement and steel. It is a unique green and environment-friendly infrastructure. People call it a clean piece of land in your soul in which you may expect blossoming all of a sudden someday.
The world where a grain of sand stays
“I’m a grain of sand” — This is the first greeting that every Whistling Dune Bay inhabitant says to each guest. Named by the geographic phenomenon of “singing sand，” Whistling Dune Bay is located in the Kubuqi Desert， Dalad Banner of Ordos City， Inner Mongolia.
“The world where a grain of sand stays” — this is the ultimate， never-ending and joyful world where all guests and Whistling Dune Bay inhabitants share together. In a world full of sand， you see a realistic but yet looking so surrealistic paradise. Dunes stand side by side and stretch endlessly to the further skyline. When you climb to the top with ladder and then slide downwards， you will hear roaring echoes as if an aircraft is taking off near you. If you hold a handful of sand and squeeze them， you will make a frog-like sound. This is how Whistling Dune Bay has been named.
A resort for leisure and sightseeing
The Lotus Hotel on Liansha Island — the desert hotel in China — is a large-scale comprehensive tourism place where you take sightseeing or have fun. Accredited as AAAAA-Level by the National Tourism Administration， it situates at the eastern side of Kubuqi Desert and is the nearest desert resort to Beijing. The Lotus Hotel is also the home of the world’s photographers. Camels are everywhere on Liansha Island. It’s up to you if you want a ride or just take photos with these marvelous creatures.
Apart from the Liansha Island， there are Fusha Island， Yuesha Island， Xiansha Island and Sand Dune Resort in the Whistling Dune Bay. Fusha Island is the world where Mongolians reside. People live in the Mongolian way of life and enjoy the fun as a nomadic group. And you can take train to the deep desert where you may come across a long camel caravan in the Yuesha Island Wonderland. If you go to Xiansha Island， you’ll see an entirely different world of Zhang Guolao’s stories. In the Sand Dune Resort， you’ll have the best breakfast ever. When being tired in the Lotus Hotel， just lie and sleep for a few hours on the beach. But don’t over-sleep as there is a dozen of entertainment or athletic shows every day. When getting hungry， you’ll find food and drinks everywhere and do feel free to enjoy them.
