The Song Dynasty scholar groups have always been regarded as the backbone of society, and discussing their average age of death may provide a perspective for exploring the historical changes in the Song Dynasty. The study of population life requires a large amount of age data, and there are relatively few data on the age of survivors retained in the Song Dynasty. It is impossible or unnecessary for individuals to exhaust such information, for even if these dossiers are exhausted Out of the age data is only accounted for a small part of the age of the Song Dynasty data. In this paper, we use a sample statistical method similar to the modern statistical method to count 1765 samples in order to make the average death age of the scholars in Song Dynasty more accurate than the previous one.
