为帮助基层小学教师准确把握教材、运用教材，本着便于教学、减轻负担、提高质量、突出学生主体地位的原则，应广大基层小学教师的要求，我们在广泛征求意见的基础上，邀请部分小学教研员编写了《九年义务教育六年制小学语文、数学暑期备课指导》，供教师暑期备课时参考，其中的数学部分将分两期刊出，本期刊登第一部分，第二部分将在第９期刊登。限于时间和编者水平，难免有不安之处，希望广大教师和教研人员提出批评和修改建设，更希望教师在教学中具体情况具体分析，总结出更好的教学经验。
