领导者的精神状态、工作积极性,直接影响着所属部门的工作进程。秘书是领导者的参谋和助手,与领导者既是上下级关系,又是同志关系;既要对领导者负责,又要对本单位本部门的工作负责。这就要求秘书不仅仅给领导出主意想办法,沟通上下左右关系,而且也应承担激励领导的责任。秘书工作实践一再证明,这种激励是客观存在的,并且是行之有效的。当秘书向领导直言进谏、反馈信息、客观评价时,在正常情况下都会产生某种对领导的激励效应,激发其积极性和创造性,促使其发挥智力效应。精明的秘书总是善于运用多种方式激励领导者,并用这种积极的办法来处理好与领导的关系。
