“New Marxism Reading” was a thought movement that started in the Federal Republic of Germany in the mid-1960s. It originated from the critical theories of the Frankfurt school and focused on the theory of value forms in Marx’s “Capital” and its manuscripts Social theory and national theoretical research, in an attempt to make a new interpretation of the modern capitalist countries and their class relations. Since 2008, represented by German scholar Inge Erbe and others, the ideological resources of this theoretical movement once again attracted the attention of German and even western scholars. It has become an important theoretical growing point in the study of Western Marxism.
