First, the preface The geometric relationship between the wheel and rail space contact is the basis of wheel-rail relationship. Over the years, domestic and foreign scholars have conducted a more adequate study of these issues, put forward some different calculation methods. We find that although the existing methods can solve the wheel and rail space contact problem with arbitrary surface shape, its calculation speed is slow and it has some difficulties in practical application. Based on the literature [5] ~ [7], on the basis of theoretical analysis of the wheel-rail contact in space, the analytic expression is derived for the left-right symmetric wheel-rail line composed of circular arcs and straight lines.
