小组工作的目的之一就是协助组员个人恢复和发展社会功能。因此,小组工作治疗注重组员个人的改善和改变,包括对存在偏差行为和不良行为的治疗和改变。小组工作治疗的方法可分为直接干预法和间接干预法。其中,直接干预法是指社会工作者以治疗者的角色直接影响组员的行为,一般发生在小组自身还缺乏相应的资源和经验,无法协助组员解决面对的问题时,或有个别组员孤立于小组之外时。运用直接干预法可以采用以下技巧:
