Wheat yellow dwarf virus is an important aphid-borne virus disease that has been popular in northern China wheat since the 1960s. The typical symptom of wheat infected with yellow dwarf virus is yellowing downward from the tip of the leaf, which accounts for one-third to one-half of the total leaf color. The diseased leaves are thickened, jerk-back, smooth on the back and bright yellow. Such symptom characteristics have not seen any abnormal changes in past field surveys and inoculation tests. In October 1981, yellowing diseased plants (wheat cultivar: Aguirre) naturally infected in the field of our hospital were used as the source of the poison and the drug was infested with Schizaphis graminum and inoculated with Zheng-Yin-1 wheat , A symptom different from yellow dwarf virus was observed during the isolation of the source of yellow dwarf virus: starting from the lower leaves of the plant, progressively upward
