广菜薯3号是广东省农科院作物研究所于2011年育成、通过国家鉴定的茎尖菜用专用型新品种,在2008—2009年两年的国家菜用甘薯品种区试中,茎尖平均每667 m2产量2 643.21 kg,比对照品种福薯7-6增产12.88%,达极显著水平;食味鉴定综合评分与对照接近;抗病性鉴定为抗茎线虫病、中抗根腐病、中抗黑斑病、中感蔓割病。2010年在四川、福建、广东3个试点的生产试验中,茎尖平均每667 m2产量2 278.6 kg,比对照增产8.46%;食味鉴定平均4.27分,高于对照。广菜薯3号茎尖无茸毛,烫后颜色青绿,食味无苦涩味,有香味,口感较甜,无滑腻感;经猛火炒熟后,品尝口感甜、爽滑,上盘后保持青绿色。该品种分枝生长较快,单株结薯数较多,薯形纺锤,薯块外皮白色,薯肉白色,丰产稳产,耐贮性中等,萌芽性好。
