In order to understand the youth development of Mongolian female schoolgirls in the western frontier of the motherland and to guide the adolescent health care work, Mongolian female students from several farms in pastoral areas and towns in our prefecture were educated for the menarche in May and June of 1983 survey. Using a retrospective questionnaire one by one asked about the age at which menarche occurred.
