The concept of “implied author”, once put forward by Booth, continues to attract wide attention and heated discussion in narratology. Different theoretical positions and concepts continue to be handed over and collide. The reason why Booth established this concept is based on his usual rhetorical standpoint of blending and constitutes a multi-level reflection and dialogue on contemporary scholarship: First, “implied author” Its intermediary, breaking the Western theoretical elements of the process of separation of each other to form a complete author, text, reader communication context; Second, the “implied author” with its dynamic, fully demonstrated the narrative Thirdly, “implied author” relies on ethics and postmodern atmosphere to publicize the humanist values and humanistic ideals in the traditional sense of rhetoric, and thus always Stay focused on reality at a thought level. In this sense, this concept is of great referential significance for us to think more deeply about the theory of narrative and even the construction of literary theory.
