英语的教学,应当是以实际应用为目标的应用型教学,尤其在当今信息爆炸式传播的社会,初中英语教师更应该认识到这一点。在新《英语课程标准》中规定:“基础教育阶段英语课程的总体教学目标是培养学生的综合语言运用能力。”因此,教师在开展初中英语阅读教学时,必须意识到,阅读教学不仅仅是传播信息的过程,更应该是培养学生主动获取并处理信息的能力的过程。情境教学的使用,将大大提高初中英语阅读教学的有效性。
