巴赫金与巴特符号学思想都是在索绪尔对语言内部与语言外部、语言与言语等若干二元区分的基础上建构的;两者都是对索绪尔结构主义语言学只注重系统内部研究的批判基础之上形成了自己的符号学理论。巴赫金符号思想中的“超语言学”(металингвистика)、“对话性”(диалог)等与巴特的“文化意指分析模式”(Cultural Significant Analysis Model)虽然在分析框架、侧重点、研究方法上差异甚大,但最终都走向同一旨归:对语言逻各斯中心主义以及意识形态中权力话语的解构,并试图建构出一种能使社会符号及所指平等对话的意义产生机制。
