利用一种可带静电的塑料薄膜收集氡子体,然后测量其放射性活度浓度。为了提高测试精度首先设计了双光电倍增管或双金硅面垒对接结构,对取样塑料薄膜进行双面测试,而且光电倍增管面积相对塑料薄膜要足够大,距离尽可能的小,α粒子穿透率较高(实际穿透率达到89%),从而可将呈球面辐射的α粒子转换为电脉冲,实现高精度α粒子计数测量。实验结果表明:基于该探测器的测氡仪器具有体积小,成本低,灵敏度高,操作简单,测试速度快等优点。
Radon progeny were collected using an electrostatically-charged plastic film and their radioactivity concentration was measured. In order to improve the test accuracy, a double photomultiplier tube or a bimetallic face-to-face butt-joint structure is designed first, and a double-sided test is performed on the sampled plastic film. The area of the photomultiplier tube is large enough relative to the plastic film to be as small as possible. Higher penetration (up to 89% actual penetration) allows the conversion of spherical alpha particles into electrical pulses for high-precision alpha particle counting. The experimental results show that the radon-measuring instrument based on the detector has the advantages of small size, low cost, high sensitivity, simple operation and fast testing.
