SAS系统是集数据管理、数据分析和信息处理于一体的应用软件系统，经过多年来的完善和发展，SAS系统在国际上已被誉为统计分析的标准软件。把SAS系统引入体育统计教学改革中，解决了一直困扰体育统计教学中的计算问题，提高了教学与科研的质量。在体育测量评价和在体育社会测量方法中使用SAS统计软件包作为计算工具，具有很强的可操作性，为在体育领域中进行教学改革以及处理和分析数据提供了一条有效途径。
