Methanol is an important basic organic chemical raw material and fuel. In recent years, research and development of methanol to acetic acid, ethanol, ethylene glycol, ethylene, synthetic protein and synthetic gasoline and other new products. Since the 1960s, methanol has been synthesized at low pressure using a copper-based catalyst. In the methanol synthesis, the catalytic action of each component in the copper catalyst and the catalytic reaction mechanism are still not clear.
