TBLT is gaining popularity in China, and it even has been demanded to apply to in the English class by the Curriculum Reform . This paper attempts to explore the application of task-based language teaching in senior high school. It includes four parts. The first part is the introduction. It discusses the definition of TBLT. The second part focuses on the practical application of TBLT in English class. The third part refers to the requirements of TBLT for English teachers in the senior high school. The fourth part is the conclusion that TBLT, as an effective teaching method, can motivate students’ interest and creativity in the course of their studying and help them to improve their abilities of analysis and application of what they have learned, and aid them to lay the solid foundation for the future study.
