Beijing Health and Quarantine Bureau conducted a physical examination and verification of communicable disease according to law on September 1, 1997 to September 15, 1997 for all foreign students admitted to colleges and universities in the autumn of this year. A total of 1,128 foreign students were admitted to AIDS Virus antibody testing, including: 673 foreign students who do not hold a valid serological negative certificate of AIDS servant issued by foreign public hospitals; 252 valid negative serological proofs issued by foreign public hospitals, but need to collect venous blood Make up other serological test items of foreign students; 203 military academy sentinel foreign military personnel. A total of 5 HIV infections were detected, with a positive detection rate of 0.44%, of which 4 were from African military personnel and the other 1 were from overseas students who held a serological negative HIV serology certificate issued by a public hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. 5 were male, with an average age of 32.8 years. According to statistics, the positive rate of HIV-1 antibody in foreign military personnel was significantly higher than that of foreign students in local colleges and universities (p <0.05). The HIV positive rate in 40-49 age group was significantly higher than that of 20-29 Group (p <0.05). The HIV positive rate of foreign students from Africa was significantly higher than that of foreign students from Asia (p <0.05). Female HIV antibody positive was not detected. Therefore, the author proposes to strengthen the exchange of information, grasp the global AIDS epidemic, further improve the laws and regulations on HIV / AIDS surveillance, closely cooperate with all relevant departments and earnestly strengthen HIV / AIDS surveillance of key populations such as foreign students and foreign military personnel.
