In this paper, the author proposes an important distinction on the concept of space, that is, the presence of the physical presence and the space as the representation medium. Being physically present means being personally involved in an environment, and as a medium of representation, I have nothing to do with being a human being; it is an abstract ordering model whereby the diversity of different things is represented. Just as mathematics is concerned with space as an agent of representation, what phenomenology deals with is the space in which it is represented. The physical space is my own way and the way in which the others are present to me. It manifests itself specifically as the space for action, the space for emotions and the space for perceptions. The author believes that the two types of space can not lay a foundation for each other, but according to different situations will overlap or in fact entangled. Finally, the author mentions two overlapping forms, the visual space and the virtual reality space, to illustrate the overlap and entanglement between the two.
