The strict distinction between philosophical ethics as practical philosophy and applied “ethical practice” arises with the dualistic opposition between “theory” and “practice” in modern times, and there is not only such distinction in ancient philosophy And in Aristotle “theory” is also a kind of “practice,” one of the highest ways of life. The dichotomy between theory and practice makes philosophical ethics itself suspicious, in fact, in trouble, but to get out of this predicament, there are two possible outlets within philosophical ethics: one is in the form of Kant One line is Aristotle’s path. However, neither can solve this predicament independently, but complementarity as a possible part of ethics is feasible.
