The Islamic resistance movement against the secular government and foreign aggression by the Afghan jihadists in the latter half of the twentieth century is an important event in the wave of contemporary Islamic rejuvenation. It originated in the boom of fundamentalism in the 1950s and 1960s. After the Soviet invasion, the Islamic resistance movement developed in a large scale. The coexistence of coexistence has become its most notable feature. Under the influence of the resistance movement, new changes have taken place in the traditional Afghan society and, to some extent, the original intention of the Islamic Renaissanceist resistance movement.
