在现代汉语中,动词或形容词充当主语或宾语,会丧失本身的一些语法特点,而取得名词的一些语法特点。“暂拟汉语教学语法系统”把这种名词化的动词、形容词叫做“名物化用法”。另外有些文章把这种临时“变性”叫做“事物化”或“名词化”——不管哪种叫法,总是承认动词或形容词一充当了主语或宾语,就取得了名词的语法特点。但是这种名词化的动词、形容词之所以产生,是因为它们处于主语、宾语的位置而临时“变性”的结果。因此与其说名词,动词的名物化用法(或“事物化”、“名词化”的用法),还不如说句子的主、宾语位置能使非名词的词具有名词的性
