The phenomenon of ΔI = 1 chattering in the gyroscopic partner band of the odd odd nuclear deformation is discussed. Using the smoothed Y-transition energies (ie, excluding the oscillatory fluctuations), the spin values of the odd-odd superdeformed bands in the A = 190 region are systematically discussed. The existence of ΔI = 1 wobble of the sibling partner bands has no effect on the spin assignments of the odd odd superdeformed bands.
