The earliest construction cases in the Americas date back to the Andean region between 3500 BC and Central America in 900 AD. For centuries, local architecture was formed through a comprehensive interpretation of the site (geomorphology, geographical context, and astronomy). There was nothing to be decided at the design. However, with the conquest and colonization of the region by Spain, the architectural traditions of the native regions have undergone unusual changes. To a certain extent, it is an irreversible change. From 1492 to 1810, more than 1,000 completed towns and cities were all architectural styles brought over from Europe, resulting in the extinction of indigenous architecture. Recall the development of key buildings from 1 492 years ago and analyze them according to three themes: spatial organization and form, materials and technology, and art integration into architecture.
