常言道:手眼通神。在艺术形象的创造中,确实如此,眼睛是心灵的窗户,画龙须点睛。手与眼睛同样传神,手的描写也有“点睛”作用。于是,不少作家的眼光盯住了人物的手,甚至把千钧之力集中倾注在手的刻划上。吴道子作的《钟馗掐鬼图》中,钟馗用第二指掐鬼目,五代画家黄筌奉帝命改作此画,要求改成用拇指掐鬼目。画家面对原画,数日难以下笔,只好原封不动地把原画送还给皇帝,他说明难改的原因:
