Fukushima and other use of Paramecium close to higher animal cell nature, can occur their own reproductive, with genetic identity and other characteristics, detection of heavy metals and other harmful substances at the cellular level toxicity. The study shows that manganese, lead, cadmium, chromium and other metal compounds have an inhibitory effect on cell division concentrations consistent with the Japan Water Pollution Prevention Act provides that the drainage standard value is roughly the same. A strong basis for determining the standard value of poisons at the cellular level is proposed. The use of Paramecium to detect cytotoxicity is considered to be a sensitive and applicable experimental material. In addition, the authors also used the ability of keratinocyte cell division to react acutely with heavy metals and further studied the combined effect of cadmium, zinc and calcium. The results showed that zinc can enhance the toxicity of cadmium to cells and calcium can inhibit the toxicity of cadmium.
