“Globalization ” theory is becoming an academic hot spot in the past two decades. While “globalization” has changed people’s social life, it also affects people’s historical concepts. In this regard, historians should pay enough attention. Although scholars have ambiguities in the definition, origin, nature and impact of globalization, the close contacts between civilizations, nations and peoples are an indisputable fact. Globalization is a process that is both horizontal and vertical, and is closely related to the latitude and longitude coordinates in history. Globalization is omnibearing. Its influence is pluralistic. Its understanding should also be multidisciplinary and multi-perspective. Historiography is especially unshirkable responsibility. In this issue, the written articles written by several scholars do not represent the views of the editorial department. They are still at their own responsibility and are intended to promote the study of the historical theory related to globalization.
