尝试吸烟行为的危险因素是男生(OR=2.90,95%CI=1.88~4.46)、高年级(初中OR=3.80,95%CI=1.86~7.76;高中OR=10.84,95%CI=5.21~22.57;高职OR=13.44,95%CI=6.28~28.77)、父亲和(或)母亲吸烟(OR=1.52,95%CI=1.01~2.30)、校园内有人吸烟(OR=2.46,95%CI=1.50~4.04)、曾经买过烟(OR=13.71,95%CI=6.50~28.93)和不知晓吸烟危害(OR=2.87,95%CI=1.18~7.00)。
Objective To understand the prevalence and influencing factors of smoking behavior among young people in Wuxi City and to provide a scientific basis for tobacco control work in schools. Methods In October 2012, a questionnaire survey on the knowledge, behavior and behavior of anonymous self-contained cigarettes among 2 467 primary and secondary school students in Wuxi was conducted. Results There were 5.11% self-reported attempts to smoke. There were more boys than girls and higher grades than lower grades. The difference was statistically significant (χ2 = 21.006,10.507, P <0.05). Among the 126 students who tried to smoke, the first attempt to smoke was mainly at the age of 7 (27.78%) and 14 to 15 (20.63%). The first smoking place was mainly in their own home (61.86%) and social (18.64%). The first cigarette originated mainly from parents (44.07%), secretly (27.73%) and (22.03%) from outside friends. The risk factors of smoking behavior were male (OR = 2.90, 95% CI = 1.88-4.46), senior (OR = 3.80, 95% CI = 1.86-7.76, high school OR = 10.84, 95% CI 5.21-22.57 ; OR = 13.44, 95% CI = 6.28-28.77), smoking in father and / or mother (OR = 1.52, 95% CI = 1.01-2.30), smoking in campus (OR = 2.46, 95% CI = (OR = 13.71, 95% CI = 6.50-28.93) and no known risk of smoking (OR = 2.87, 95% CI = 1.18-7.00). Conclusion Adolescents lack of knowledge about the harm of smoking, smoking culture widely prevailing in living environment and loose smoking environment are the influencing factors of students’ attempt to smoke behavior. In addition to promoting the harmful effects of tobacco on adolescents, parents should also be educated to reduce their child’s exposure to tobacco and to implement the school’s smoke-free policy.
