随着热带钢连轧技术的发展，热轧条件发生变化，轧辊的使用条件更加苛刻，对轧辊的强韧性、耐磨性、耐表面粗糙性和耐热裂性提出了更高的要求。为此国外对高速钢轧辊在带钢热连轧机上的应用进行了深人研究，取得了良好效果。总结国外先进经验，对加速我国高速钢轧辊的开发，使我国轧辊的制造和使用水平迈上新台阶，早日由高速钢生产大国变为生产强国，带动我国的钨工业走出困境，都将具有积极的意义。
