Announcer: And now to a story for every daughter who wants a dream wedding and every dad who struggles to let her go.
Dr. James Wolf: Each and every day we have a choice. We have a choice to either love that person that’s in front of us, or not.
Reporter: For Dr. James Wolf the choice has always been clear. Family first. Just ask his daughter, Rachel. Rachel: My dad is like the ultimate dad. Like the ultimate hero, the ultimate be there, support you.
Reporter: This is the day she’s always dreamed of; the gown, the make-up, the flowers.
James: I know she’s gonna be stunning and her hair is gonna be beautiful. I’m just gonna stand there in awe.
Reporter: But there’s one thing missing—a groom. Instead this day is about the other man in her life.
Rachel: I just want to tell him how much I love him and how much I’m gonna miss him.
Reporter: Dr. Wolf is dying. 1)Pancreatic cancer. He likely has less than three months to live.
James: There’s a lot of things that I would have liked the girls to experience with me being there. And I’m not gonna be there.
Reporter: So to make sure that he would be there, Rachel came up with an unusual idea—create her own father-daughter dance and record it.
  James: I just was 2)flabbergasted.
Reporter: James, drained by 3)chemo, finding strength for his family.
Just hours before the big moment, he’s in the hospital. Later, so exhausted, he can barely get dressed without help from his wife.
Wife: I don’t know what to expect. I’m hoping that he’s feeling well enough to be able to get that dance in.
Reporter: The crowd seems to wonder that too, until the 4)limo pulls up.
James: Hi, honey. You look gorgeous!
  Rachel: Hi Daddy.
Reporter: It may not be exactly like Rachel always dreamt... Rachel: I love you daddy.
Reporter: ...but it’s one last dance she’ll never forget. Rachel: Will you spin me?
James: Would you like to be spun right now? Rachel: Yeah.
James: It’s the relationships that you build over the years that is the most important thing in life.
Reporter: A dance proving that, when it comes to making memories, why wait.
James: I’ll always be with you, OK? Remember that. I love you, honey.
Rachel: I love you too, daddy.
