传统的修辞理论把转喻和隐喻看作是两种普通的修辞格。现代认知语言学认为它们是两种重要的认知手段,但其研究中有重隐喻而轻转喻的倾向。许多隐喻理论常常把转喻作为隐喻的一个种类。本论文旨在从转喻产生的根源及其理解角度探讨转喻和隐喻之间的关系。
The traditional rhetorical theory regards metonymy and metaphor as two ordinary figures of speech. Modern cognitive linguistics think they are two important cognitive means, but their research tends to be metaphorical and metonymic. Many metaphorical theories often use metonymy as a type of metaphor. The purpose of this thesis is to explore the relationship between metonymy and metaphor from the perspective of the origin of metonymy and its understanding.
