Spiral CT and three-dimensional CTA angiography has developed rapidly, has become the evaluation of aortic aneurysm and dissecting aneurysm endovascular interventional treatment of major imaging methods. Its main advantage is the ability to provide a good anatomic image of the aorta and its major branches preoperatively, to see tiny leaks around the stent after stent implantation, and to provide anatomical details of the intima-dissected tear in an acute dissecting aneurysm. Based on the author’s five years of clinical experience at Stanford University in the United States, this article reports on techniques and applications of spiral CT in the interventional treatment of aortic aneurysms.
