Based on the survey data of Nanjing Municipality in 2008, the influencing factors of migrant workers’ children’s continuing education in junior middle school and above were analyzed. The results of the analysis show that the main factors affecting the children of migrant workers to continue their education at or above junior secondary level are family income, educational level of parents, time to come to Ning, gender of the children, number of children and children’s own learning. Children’s own learning situation is the most important factor that determines whether or not they continue to receive education above junior secondary level. Household income is a major factor that restricts migrant workers from continuing to provide education for their children to continue their education at or above junior secondary level. The educational level of parents and migrant children continue to receive education at or above the junior high school, but the mother’s educational level is more significant than the father’s educational level. With the development of economy and people’s ideological quality, the gender of their children is no longer the main factor that affects the education of migrant workers’ children in upper secondary education.
