在有色金属矿山地质勘探中,为探清矿体的产状、形状和规模及正确地评价矿体,需要投入大量的探矿工程.某些矿区虽经详细勘探,但对一些构造体系复杂的地段(区),特别是经后期构造破坏及与含矿断裂有关的充填、交代层间羽毛状矿体,仍不能较真实地掌握矿体的走向、倾向和自然形态.在综合图件时,常发生对矿体形态的错连、层次串位等假象.当然,圈定矿体的主要依据是工程,但也要防止单纯依靠工程圈定矿体的倾向.因此,除研究地质规律外,更重要是采取适当的验证手段进行验证,使其正确地反映被勘探对象的真实性.
