词典在英语学习中既是必不可少的工具，也是英语学习者的良师益友。多查词典无疑是提高英语学习效果的重要手段之一。学习英语的人尤其是英语专业学习者，除多查英汉词典外，更要逐渐习惯于多查英英词典。因为多使用英英词典，更有利于准确把握词语含义，提高英语学习效果，培养用英语思维和表达的习惯。笔者从我校学生的英语学习中发现，绝大多数学生不用英英词典，这对有效提高英语水平是个不利因素。笔者就这一问题进行了一些探讨。
Dictionary in English learning is an essential tool, but also a good teacher of English learners. Doubtless dictionary is undoubtedly one of the important ways to improve English learning. People who learn English, especially English majors, need more accustomed to finding more English-Chinese dictionaries than English-Chinese dictionaries. Because more English-English dictionaries are used, it is more conducive to accurately grasp the meaning of words, improve English learning results, and cultivate the habit of thinking and expressing in English. The author learns from my school students’ English learning that the vast majority of students do not need English-English dictionaries, which is an unfavorable factor to effectively improve their English proficiency. The author made some discussions on this issue.
