本文从目前农业科研动态来看，一旦再没有出现较大的科研成果，主管部门或主管领导有可能少给科研经费，那么农业科研人员的出路在何方呢？其一，应从各方面争取经费，增加科研的投入，在现有几个有苗头的科研项目中，加大研究内容的广度与深度，可望在几年内出现一、两个较大的成果，防止“被断奶”的依据；其二，在有限经费范围内，提高现有科研管理水乎，争取多出人才，多出成果，更为重要的是必须贯彻“稳住一头，放开一片”的方针，营造一个宽松的环境，让一全县有开发潜力的项目与人才脱颖而出，增加自身的“造血”功能，一旦经费短缺，则不会出现手足无措的被动局面。
