Method 1 Materials: A wide-mouth bottle, a nickel-chromium alloy resistance wire 3 to 4 cm long, a dry battery pack (or battery), a little alcohol, a wire, a rubber stopper, and the like. Experimental method: wound the resistance wire around the head of the match and connect the wire with two wires and put it into a wide-mouth bottle. Pour a little alcohol into the bottle and slowly shake to vaporize some of the alcohol. Then use a rubber stopper to close the bottle mouth, and connect the wire to the two poles of the battery. The resistance gradually heats up to ignite the match. The alcohol gas in the jar burns violently and generates high-temperature and high-pressure gas.
