襄渝铁路沿线地形、地质复杂,桥梁、隧道比重高,是我国山区铁路的代表,其增建二线的电气化改造工程实施难度大。既有牵引变电所场坪狭小、设备严重老化、生产房屋破损、主接线不适应新的要求,为满足增建二线供电的要求,牵引变电所需推倒重建,并重新进行总平面布置。但既有铁路不能中断行车,在设计中,采用了主变防火墙、27.5kV母线双层布置等特殊设计,采用了第三台牵引变压器、临时计量装置、高压电缆及终端、移动高压室及主控制室等复杂的过渡设施,最终实现不停电改造。

However, the existing railways can not interrupt the traffic. In the design, the special design of the main transformer firewall and 27.5kV double-layer busbar is adopted. The third traction transformer, temporary metering device, high voltage cable and terminal, mobile high voltage room and main Control room and other complex transition facilities, and ultimately non-power transformation.
